This collection contains the records of the Kansas Wheat Commission (KWC) from 1957-1999. The records document the KWC's efforts in wheat marketing, research, economics, and trade. The bulk of the records consist of meeting minutes of the Kansas Wheat Commission, Great Plains Wheat, Inc., and US Wheat Association (US Wheat Associates). Other records include KWC annual reports; marketing plans of the KWC, Great Plains Wheat, Inc., and Western Wheat Association; newsletters and publications entitled Kansas Wheat Scoop; photographs and other audio-visual materials; grant files; audit reports; and Wheat Queen pageant files.
